Coweta 4-H securing awards nationwide

Quite a few members of Coweta County’s 4-H membership have competed on the County, District, State and Nationwide Ranges, with many securing awards within the course of.

In response to a launch from Coweta County 4-H, a complete of 165 4-H’ers have competed at a type of ranges thus far in 2022.

For example, 4-H members competed on the County Cloverleaf Mission Achievement in January for an opportunity to qualify for the District Competitors in Rock Eagle the following month.

College students in grades 7-12 spent a weekend at Rock Eagle for his or her undertaking achievement. Excessive schoolers compete for an opportunity to maneuver on to State Congress Competitors in Atlanta in July.

Particular recognition went to Cooper Duncan, first place in Entomology; Adalynn Jordan, first place in Bodily, Organic and Earth Sciences; Josie Roberson, third place in Dairy; Parker Arrington, first place in Canine Care and Coaching; Gillian Ramponi, third place in Style Overview; Avery Pruett, third place in Horse; Leopold Joh, second place in Poultry; Natalie Zern, third place in Sports activities; and Madison Dyar, first place in Veterinary Science.

Arrington, Dyar and Zern will signify Coweta on the State Congress in Atlanta and can compete for the title of Grasp 4-H’er of their respective tasks this July.

Coweta’s Dairy Heifer Present Staff confirmed their showmanship expertise on the Georgia Junior Nationwide Livestock Present in February. The Dairy Heifer Present crew is led by Stephanie Butcher.

Jacob Roberson received third place in his weight class; Josie Roberson was the highest 4-H’er in eighth grade showmanship and fourth within the weight class; Caeden Swartz was second place and high 4-H’er in showmanship and 2nd within the weight class; Colton Swartz was second place, the highest 4-H’er and Grasp Showman in eleventh grade showmanship and second within the weight class; and Abigail Ullom was first place in sixth grade showmanship and third place within the weight class.

Hippology Competitors is a fast-paced, quiz bowl-type contest centered on a variety of horse details and data. Coweta’s Junior crew consisting of Claire Lummus, Olivia Miklosovic and Peyton Sanders, positioned fourth. The Senior Staff consisting of Sara Folsom, Gabriela Luna, Avery Pruett and Elena Williams positioned third total, and Gabriela Luna earned the fourth place rating for people. The Hippology Staff is coached by Tricia Heard.

The Dairy Quiz Bowl crew received second place on the state contest. The Coweta County crew is made up of Aurora Cadman, Leopold Joh, Lexi Koenig, Avery Pruett and Josie Roberson. The Dairy Quiz Bowl crew is coached by Teresa Barczak and Pam Brinton.

The Poultry Judging Staff positioned third on the district stage the place Leopold Joh scored second in excessive particular person.
